BZ

Is this weather not wonderful?!! We have had sunny skies and temps of I'm guessing about 70.
I haven't had much time to do any updating my blog as I have been doing some much needed work outside.
Also, my camera is shot and i got a new one but haven't yet figured out how to upload pics etc..
I did pop into Walgreens to take advantage of the Airwick promo, they are half price and with the mfr from the Sunday paper was able to pick some up for free. Actually spent $11.00 and got almost $70.00 worth of fun stuff!
Tomorrow I am going to Safeway and Target. And then tomorrow night we are going to see the Harlem Globetrotters!!

last minute deals

headed back to a few stores for a few "too good to pass up deals". Albertsons has bumblebee tuna for .50 cents peer can so i bought 5, used a $1 mfr (igot at bumblebee.com)and a double coupon to get them for .10 each.

Light and fit yogurt, .50 each. bought 12, used (2) $1.00 off 6 and (2) double coupons. So $6 less the $4 in coupons makes $2 that i paid for 12 yogurts. I think thats about .17 cents per yogurt.

Bought more cereal, on sale for $1.88 each. this is a repeat of the deal i did earlier. I bought 5 boxes, used 1 coupon for $1.50 off two and another for $1 off 3. then used two double coupons for a total of $4.90. this transaction gave me a $4 catalina that I used to pay for my other stuff. Thats like getting 5 boxes of cereal for .90 cents, yay! See why i had to do it again?

Safeway had Nestle Tollhouse morsels for $1.99 each. I bought 2 bags, used $1.00 off on each one and doubles on both so i got them for .49 cents each. can you smell cookies!?

boys dancing

Okay, I don't know if you just need a little cheering up or what but you gotta check out the fun i get to have at my house daily!!! Check out these two videos...

Target

Here is what i bought at Target today. First i bought the three Olay items for $5.50 each. I am out of mfr coupons because of all the previous Olay deals I did earlier in the week at RiteAid. As you can see though, I am still getting a $15.00 rebate on my purchase and also a $5.00 Target gift card which makes my stuff better than free.
Then I bought the 5 Oatmeal express at $1.02 each, used the five dollar gift card from the Olay to pay for it and recieved another $5.00 Target gift card. I purchased the cheerios for $1.00 each and used a $1.00 off any cheerios mfr coupon on each one to get them all for free. I used the last gift card for the invitations to Olivers birthday and the boogie wipes and the Sobe.
After my rebate my total cost for these items is $1.50 plus tax and a postage stamp for the rebate.

Albertsons

Here I rolled my Catalinas over like this;

Purchased 6 boxes of cereal on sale for $1.88 each
after my mfr coupons I paid $7.28 and got a $4.00 catalina

Purchased 8 cans of DelMonte diced tomatoes (I use these to make salsa etc) for $1 each
after my mfr coupons I owed $4.00
Used my $4.00 Catalina from the ceareal purchase to pay the balance
Recieved a $2.00 Catalina from purchasing the tomatoes

purchased 4 boxes of cereal bars (see picture for specific ones) for sale price of $1.88 each
Purchased 5 cans of tuna on sale for .50 each
After all mfr coupons I owe $3.52
used my $2.00 catalina from buying the tomatoes
paid $1.52

Total out of pocket $8.70
Total saved (according to my receipts) $56.27

Savings example

Here is an example of a deal I got on salad dressing. Salad dressing is priced at $2.79 each at Safeway. When you buy 4 you get a $3.00 Catalina back which you can use like cash on your next purchase of whatever you want. I clipped (4)$1 off 1 from a coupon book that is in Safeway, if you want a pic let me know. Then I got the other coupons out of the Sunday paper which are save $1.25 on two Kraft dressings.
4 Kraft Dressings $11.16
coupons -6.50
catalina -$3.00
cost me $1.66 for 4 dressings so about .40 each

Here is a photo of what I bought today at RiteAid. RiteAid has a promotion going on right now for Proctor and Gamble products. The value of my items is $143.49. I paid $30.51 plus tax and submitted a Visa card rebate for $35.00 essentially bringing my purchase to FREE. I am also going to send my reciepts in for $100.00 worth of coupons.

Update!!
I forgot to mention that I am also getting some single check rebates back from Rite Aid. So far I have $12.00 on top of the $35.00 Woo hoo!!

Saturday

Today we spent the morning at Keenans basketball game and then went to the team photo shoot.
I had to stop by Walgreens and get some super cheap pop because the deal expires today. I bought 7 more 12 packs and used $15.oo of my register rewards plus $5 cash. The register spit out $10.00 rewards for me to use for whatever I purchase next time. Then I came home and dropped my $10.00 Pepsi rebate in the mail. Sweet deal!

I also realized how much more sense it makes to vacuum the dog every day instead of vacuuming the downstairs! She was cooperative for the most part. I slipped her a few chunks of cheese and she was putty in my hands...Guilt free I may add since I scored lots of free cheese last week at Freddies. In retrospect I maybe should have offered her the 2% Tillamook, as her flanks seem a bit chunky and heaven knows a girls despises large flanks;)

Yay! Friday!

I'm so excited to report that my ACN team is growing. The birth of a business is a lot of work but so rewardin$.

I went to Safeway today and will share the deal with you in a later post. All this shopping is exhausting, haha!

Countdown to Valentines Day, anybody have any fun plans? I'm more counting down to Olivers birthday to be honest! I can't believe my baby is turning 5. He is so wonderful and I am so lucky.

Bella

We have a new dog! We have been kicking around the idea for a while now of getting a dog, I just knew I couldn't commit to a puppy (the whining, the midnight trips outside to pee, the chewing etc..) but was unsure about getting an older dog (who knows what bad habits!).
Bella is a three year old American Foxhound, female obviously, and has the sweetest personality. She is quite mellow and obedient. She is on antihistamines, like me, and must be on a grain free diet, like me:) So we can sit and chat about our allergies and the evils of gluten together, hahaha!!!!

Tuesday, February 2, 2010

This was a fun deal for me! I bought $104.00 worth of stuff at RiteAid for $7.91!!
Keenan wanted to make a Prince of Persia costume, this was his design.
this is some chicken and hamburger I bought for $10.00. I like to cook and season most of it and put it in the freezer so I don't have to dirty a pan every time I want to throw together a quick dinner. The beef will probably go to tacos, spaghetti, chili...the chicken may go into casseroles, soups, sweet n sour chicken...

Ragu

Ragu was on sale for .99 each and i had some $1.00 off coupons so I earned a penny for each one I took! here is a picture of 14 of them although I came away with 18 I think. Better than free!

new blog. don't fall asleep:)

Day one of my blogging adventure. How it will evolve I don't know. I'm just wanting to get started so here we go...

The first thing I want to share is some of the incredible deals I have been getting as a result of my new hobby, couponing! It's like playing a game to see what kind of great deals I can get, haha!
