Toys R Us

Going to stop by Toys R Us while I am in Portland for a meeting today. They have losts of B1G1 toys on sale and some match up with the coupons at playsaver.com
If you know any kids having birthdays anytime soon or need a lil something for a certain Easter basket, this might be the time and place to get it!

SMILE

Too Cute, Have a GOOD day!!
FOOTBALL AND THE BLONDE......

Out of all the blonde jokes, this one has to be the best!

Football FINALLY makes sense...........
A guy took his blonde girlfriend to her first football game. They had great seats right behind their team's bench. After the game, he asked her how she liked the experience.

'Oh, I really liked it,' she replied, 'especially the tight pants and all the big muscles, but I just couldn't understand why they were killing each other over 25 cents.'

Dumbfounded, her date asked, 'What do you mean?'

'Well, they flipped a coin, one team got it and then for the rest of the game, all they kept screaming was: 'Get the quarterback! Get the quarterback!' I'm like...Helloooooo? It's only 25 cents!!!!

Putting It All Together

I have people ask me if we live on all that free cereal, haha! So I thought I'd let you take a peek in my kitchen to see what's REALLY going on...

Something I have done forever is buy ground beef on sale, cook it all up with onion, garlic, salt and pepper and put it in appx 2 cup increments into my freezer. This is 6 lbs of 15% fat ground beef I bought b1g1 last week at safeway and after my $2 off coupon (remember I got that for "buying" hamburger helper?)it cost me $8.

This particular night I am making tacos, so I take 1 or 2 of those pkgs of cooked meat out of the freezer, dump it in my humble but loyal crockpot with taco seasoning.

You may recognize some of these items from your own kitchen :) Remember Tostitos were $1, the cheese came from my freezer, I bought 20 bags back when they were free (i posted this deal in Jan.)the bag of lettuce was $1 this last week at Safeway, I used my Albertsons doubles to get the Guacamole for $1 and the sour cream was on an overstock sale for $1.19 and I doubled a .50 mfr to get it for .19.
At Riteaid last week, soda was 4 for $10 so i purchased 8 for $20, used a $5 off of $20 so thats about .16 cents per can. I don't remember the exact price of the tortillas but I did double a .75 mfr to get them appx $1.19.
And the salsa, another signature food I make often, made with those near free cans of hunts tomatoes and .69 cilantro.
All of this was under $7 and it is enough food for at least 10 servings.

note; the frozen meat can be used for lots of different quick meals. put some in a crock pot with a can of tomatoes and a can of beans for chili. add some to one of your jars of free Ragu (remember? from Safeway??)and boil noodles for a spaghetti dinner. Round it out with some of those super cheap pillsbury biscuits we got catalina'd out on and some free green giant vegetables from the "chill" promo.
I know you have a freezer full of steam n mash potaotes (they were FREE)so make a shepard pie! You see where I am going with this?? Endless options for quick inexpensive meals! And save the cereal for breakfast ;)

The Rewards are Rolling at Walgreens!

There are some great deals at Walgreens this week. The money makers are Dulcolax, Dove, and Simply Saline. Dulcolax creates an overage of $4 each with printable mfr, Dove creates an overage of $1.50 with mfr from Sunday paper and I used the mens vitamins (womens available too, same deal) for filler items since they are $3 with a $3 RR, essentially making it a free filler item.
Here is what I bought;

I used some of my leftover rewards from last weeks sudafed deals so when I purchased these items I created an overage of $11, so I purchased;

Making everything you see in the pics FREE.

I LOVE free:)

Locked and Loaded

In the sea of couponing, deals come and go, coupons come and go. How do you keep it all organized so that you never miss a deal you want to take advantage of?

I highly recommend using a binder to keep all your goodies in. Here is a picture of my binder which is a regular zip around type with a handle. Inside I keep a small pair of scissors, a pen and a calculator, and all my coupons. I also have a small spiral notebook that I make lists, write notes to myself and keep all relevant store info, like catalina specifics, expiration dates on deals etc.

The large inside pocket is great for tucking store ads and unclipped coupons and such. I zip this all together and head to the store and BONUS, BooBoo usually carries it like his briefcase as we manuever in and out of stores.

I don't need diapers but maybe you do..

If you’re not into going to Walgreens or Rite Aid this week, or just have some extra $3/1 Huggies coupons, I have one more diaper deal for you. It does require a bit of work, but diapers for less than $3 a pack just might be worth it for you.

*****************

STEP ONE:

1. Print as many $3/1 Huggies coupons as you can on coupons.com or by becoming a huggies fan on facebook.com. You may need a few computers.

2. Mail 7 Huggies coupons along with 1. your name 2. email address that you use for internet purchases 3. billing street address (on a notecard) to:

Diapers.com
PO Box 1564
Montclair, NJ 07042

It will take about 7-10 days from the day you mail the coupons off for them to be credited to your account. You will receive an email once they do. Once they have been posted, move to the next step.

*****************

STEP TWO:

1. Go to Ebates.com. Search for Diapers.com and click on the link. You should now be at Diapers.com. You will receive 1% cash back on your Diapers.com purchase and a $5 sign-up bonus if this is your first Ebates purchase (note: DO NOT choose one of Ebates’s discount coupon codes or the following one will not work).

2. Add 7 jumbo packs of Huggies and 1 Pampers Sensitive Travel Wipes to your cart

3. Move to checkout. Your 7 manufacturer’s coupons should automatically come off. Now your total will be $50.92.

4. Use the code FRUGALLIVI in the “Promotions & Referrals” field & get $10 off your order (good on your first Diapers.com order of $49+ only).

5. After you have received your diapers, submit your proof-of-payment with this form & receive a $14.97 rebate from Parenting Early Years by mail. Please print off this form now as Diapers.com periodically pulls it. Once it’s gone, you can’t get your rebate. It will take a number of months to receive your rebate.

*****************

Both the promotion code and the magazine rebate are available to new Diapers.com customers only. And you must purchase at least $49 worth of products after manufacturer’s coupons to use the promo code. The $49 mark also gets you free shipping.

Here’s how the deal breaks down:

Subtotal = $71.92
Manufacturer’s coupons (-$21)
Promo code (-$10)
Parenting rebate (-$14.97)
Ebates rebate (-$.41)
Ebates sign-up bonus (-$5 — not available if you’re an existing Ebates customer)

As low as $20.54 for 7 packs of diapers = less than $3 per pack + a free travel case of wipes

Thanks for this scenario, Passion for Savings!

Cellfire

What is Cellfire? Well if you dont know, you need to! If you have a Safeway club card or a Fred Meyer Rewards card, you can browse ecoupons at cellfire.com, load them directly to your shopping card and when you go shopping they are automatically deducted from your bill!

Example;

Recently Betty Crocker fruit snacks were on sale for $1 at Safeway.
I used an mfr coupon to save .50 off. I loaded a cellfire ecoupon for .50 off. At the store, the item is scanned, .50 is taken off automatically and then i submit my .50 mfr and get the fruit snacks free.

This week , Betty crocker cake mix is on sale at Safeway as well as Delights yogurt. Both have a cellfrie coupon available. Matched up with a mfr you can get those items for cheap or free.

Note; each cellfire can only be used on 1 quantity so be aware of that if you are buying more than 1 of any item.

Also;
There are two other ecoupon sites that I am aware of to use at Safeway, Fred Meyer or QFC (where I live. enter your zip code on the sites to see what stores are available to you).
Shortcuts.com and pgesaver.com

Happy shopping and please feel free to leave comments or ask a question!

Target game deals!

Monopoly $7.00
$5.00/1 – Monopoly Game – (playsaver.com)
Final Price: $2.00

Connect 4 $7.00
$4.00/1 – Connect 4 Game – (playsaver.com)
Final Price: $3.00

I bought a few of these to have on hand for that last minute party invite. Other games on sale, I would print off all the toy coupons and check the endcaps where they stock the clearance toys for good deals.

The puzzle w/little books was on an endcap for $2.78 and I used the $2 Mr. Potato Head coupon. Frances won't care that it only cost Grandma .78 ;)

Scrubbing Bubbles at Safeway

The Scrubbing Bubbles Catalina ends 3/21 – HOWEVER, I received a NEW Scrubbing Bubbles Catalina announcement, which will start 3/26 – 4/25

Tips: Tomorrow’s Sunday Coupon 3/21, there’ll be a .75/1 Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner coupon. Also there are $2/2 Peelies on the Bathroom cleaner, and essentially making those FREE!

Pizza Party!

Can I just say YAHOO now that basketball season is over?? I love when it starts and I love when it is over, hehehe.

These pics are from the team pizza party/awards night.

My patience finally paid off today. A few weeks ago RiteAid had these Biore products 3/$15 but quickly sold out. I got a raincheck and they finally got some in! I purchased the three pore strips for $15 and used a $3/15 store printed coupon. I had 3 mfr from recent coupon inserts for "buy 1 pore strip get a cleanser free" which are normally priced at $7.99 each. I added a $2 mfr I found while trolling around, waiting for them to come in as well as a $1 mfr found the same way. Turned out to be a better deal in the long run! I also had 1 video perks coupon so it looks like this;
3 pore strips $15.00
3 cleansers free
minus all coupons mentioned=
$5.97
faxed rebate on the spot from the store (for $5) so my total for all 6 items, .97!!!

Prepare for antioxidization!

Walgreens has had these on a b1g1 for a few weeks now. They are $9.99 so getting a free one is cool. However, in the March store coupon book (you see them when you walk in the store, they have an easter theme on the front) I found a $5 off each bottle. You guessed it, 2 for free! I picked up a couple everytime I stopped at Walgreens and am almost embarrassed to admit that I must have a cool Benjamin worth of this stuff. EEk!

Friday, March 19, 2010

Already packed away my receipt on this for the rebate but my total was $11 and some change with a rebate of $5 for a total of abt $6.

The Airwick imotion air fresheners are a such a great deal. They are usually about $15 everywhere and Target has them on sale for $6. There is a $5 mfr in a recent newspaper insert which I stacked with a printable $1 store coupon from Target.com. That makes them free!
The movie, The Princess and the Frog, is priced at $15.99 and i used a $5 printable coupon on that and it is also eligible for $5 rebate wyb 2 pkgs of bandaids. The bandaids are $1.82; i used a .50 mfr stacked with a $1 Target.com printable store coupon to get both boxes for .64
The toothpaste created an overage for me when I stacked a mfr with a target printable, which help offset the price of the movie even more.

All for free!

The Renpure is b1g1 free. I had a video perks coupon for $3.00 and each Renpure item has a rebate for $3.
The haircolor is $9.99 with a $2 in-ad coupon. I stacked it with a mfr for $3 and 1 video perks.

the Joy dish soap is on sale for .79 and I used a .30 mfr.

My out of pocket was $5.47 and after rebates is a .53 money maker!

RiteAid has some John Frieda on clearance (on end cap) so if you still have any of the recent mfr you can get a great deal! You can stack them with the video perks store coupons. My three items were priced at $3.24, $3.49 and $3.24, I was able to stack $2.00 mfr with video perks on 2 and the third item i used a $3 mfr to get all three items for .97

Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Oh! I almost forgot!

If you live anywhere Gateway Produce near the intersection of sr 500 and Andreson in Vancouver, they have pears for .9 cents per pound! I bought a big 8# bag of pears for .72 cents. Made me feel decadent to add asparagus to my cart at a whopping .99 lb, heehee.

Free milk at Albertsons.

Buy 4 boxes General Mills cereal (Honey Nut Cheerios, Reeses Peanut Butter Puffs, Kix, Chocolate Cheerios or Total Blueberry Pomegranate)get free milk up to $4.50 oyno. I am wondering if that will be good for 1 gallon or as much as you can get for $4.50 hmmmm, we'll see.
Might be a good transaction to use some doubles on
Use a mfr like this one from your inserts with a double found in Tuesdays Albertsons ad.
$9.96 for 4 boxes cereal
less 2 mfr and 2 doubles ($4.00)
less 1 more mfr on 5th box (.50 or .55 depending on which coupon you have, the .55 can be printed)
Pay $5.41 for 4 boxes of cereal and $4.50 worth of milk

Starting tomorrow Post cereal free at Albertsons! Check thekrazycouponlady.com for details.
Albertsons, hard to CHILL when the deals are this hot, hahaha!

Chill promo continues at Albertsons. Today I was able to get 10 jose ole chimichangas for $10.00 I paid with my chill bucks from last week and got another $10, making them free! You can keep rolling this catalina several times to stock up on LOTS of chimichagas, FREE.
More freebies if you have doubles;
bagel bites $1.99, print off $1.00 coupon and double. If you did 10 of these you would actually MAKE $10.00!!! Keep in mind you would need several computers to print out that many coupons, I am only able to get 2-4 on each computer.

I used some doubles on the chunky soup sale that ends today. Sale price $1.50, I bought in increments of three, used a $1.50/3 mfr with a double taking $2.50 off the price of $4.50 (for all three), final price .66 cents per can. I was looking to get some stuff that doesn't need to occupy valuable freezer real estate!!

Also, Tostitos priced at $2.99, they have stickies on them for $1/1 which you can double to get each bag for .99 cents

Target Deal

Better than free light bulbs! These Reveal light bulbs are priced at $2.14 each. Your recent newspaper inserts have coupons for $1 off one, which you can stack with a $1.50 Reveal lightbulb store coupon available at Target.com. So you get .16 cents for every one you "buy"!

I also heard but haven't checked, that Airwick imotion airfreshners are free this week. Priced at $6, use the $5 mfr from your insert with the $1 Target store coupon.

Favorite Target Deals

These Fusion razor cartridges are spendy and I just cringe when I have to spend $15.00 on 4 blades but Orlando SWEARS by them. So imagine how happy I was to get a deal on afore mentioned swanky blades.

The cartridges are on sale for $13.99 and in the vicinity I found some $4 off Target coupons wyb 1 cartridge and 1 razor. If you have been keeping your newspaper inserts you should have some coupons for "buy 1 cartridge get a razor free. The fusion shave cream is priced at $2.99 which can be used with the save $1 mfr as well as the "get a free body wash when you buy a shave cream". The name of the game here is to stack as many manufacturer coups with store coups and get the goods on sale.

I also paid with a $5 gift card from last week and recieved another $5 gift card from "buying" two razors (they were free!)

my total for this deal (two cartridges, two razors, two body washes, two shave cream) was $9.97 plus tax with a $5 gift card back

Remember that $18 I got back at Safeway yesterday? Well it was burning a hole in my pocket so I headed back to Safeway and spent $8 of it! I spent $10.69 out of pocket and I still have the other $10.00 for next time. The coke deal was an unexpected bonus, Safeway had a deal to buy (3) twelve packs and get an 8 pack for free. All the 12 packs of coke had these $3 off coupons stuck to them which is $3 off 3, and i got a $1 off 2 Safeway coupon out of their March coupon book. I used a double coupon to get another .50 off so was able to get all this pop for $5.50! this deal should be going til Tuesday so head down to Safeway and stock up on some soda:)To get the deals on the granola items, check the Safeway ad for the specifics and print off coupons at coupons.com or one of the other coupon websites and load your cellfire with any that match. I was able to get them for free by doing this. The hamburger helper was .99 cents, I used a $1 off three and loaded a cellfire coupon as well. That makes them .34 each however I bought 4 to get a $2 catalina on my next purchase of ground beef.

ps, you can see on my receipt that my total savings was 90%

Remember to clear out your freezer because it is FROZEN FOOD MONTH!

Last week we had some great promos to fill the freezer for cheap, and Albertsons and Safeway are going to keep the deals coming all month. Yay!

That should free up a little money to cash in on the awesome deals this week at Rite Aid and Walgreens;)

KEENAN LOVES BASKETBALL!

Keenan had his basketball jamboree on Saturday and while his team played their little hearts out, they got eliminated mid-event.
We had to have the talk about good sportsmanship...

This games sells for $15.00 at Walmart. Boo loves this game so i thought it would be a great gift for one of his friends that are soon to turn 5 years old.

I saw that Big Lots had it advertised for $5.00 dollars and so I did a price match for it at Walmart. I used my $4 off coupon from coupons.com and scored it for $1.00!!!!!!

How can I do this?

My last post was all done at Albertsons, using the Catalina promos going on there.
If you want to do a similar deal at Safeway, they have a "chill" promo going on for the month of March where you buy $25.00 worth of participating items and you get $10.00 back. First, check out the Safeway ad to see which of the participating items you might like. Next locate manufacturers coupons you can use to buy those items. You can usually find some at coupons.com, redplum.com or smartsource.com or sometimes on the brands website (just google it)
Example;
I bought 10 Michael Angelos frozen entree's for a sale price of $2.99 each. You will need the Safeway club card to get that price. On their website I was able to get coupons for buy1get1 free. I also used a coupon I found on one of boxes for $1.00 off. Looks like this;
10 X $2.99 =$29.90
minus b1g1 ($2.99 X 5)-$14.95
minus $1.00 mfr from box
total $13.95
I had catalina's from last week to use for this but if you don't, pay the $13.95 and then you will get $10.00 back.
Do another transaction buying $25.00 worth of items from the 'chill promo" list, use manufacturer coupons and Safeway doublers to get as low as you can to a balance of $10.00. Now use your catalina from the Michael Angelos to pay down the last $10.00 of your transaction. That makes all that food free (or a few bucks) and you get another $10.00!
You can do more transactions for NEARLY FREE FOOD or you can buy other necessities with the $10.00 or pocket it for next week.

So tell me, WHAT DID YOU BUY??

Raising the Bar

I think I just set a new personal standard for power shopping, lol!

Of course when i got home from the store I put everything away without taking pictures so you will just have to take my word for it.

I did snap a couple pics of my receipts although not sure how clear they are. In a nutshell, I got $175.36 worth of goods for $10.32 + tax ($2.85)for a total expense of $13.17. I know, i know!!!!!

And then the kicker, when I got home I had another $17.99 worth of rebate money in the mail. YaY!

Desta and Ben leaving...

What a fun week it has been with Desta and Ben here to visit! They left this morning and I miss them already.
I am trying to think positive, like...I will work out, something i didn't do this at all last week. I cleaned up all the sand from Saturdays beach trip and i get a little thrill when my floors are clean, hahahaha!!!!
And last (see pic) I got some rebate money in the mail today! Now you may be thinking, big whoop...$16.99 in the mail and some coupons. If you are wondering what I can do with $17.00 and a few coupons, see my last Albertsons post!!!
Any body have fun plans or goals for the month of March?
